Andy Dantzler's Photographic Memorial to the Woodstock Generation

The original location of The Woodstock ’69 Event, was actually held in Bethel, NOT Woodstock, NY! This site will be a memorial to those who tried to keep the "Woodstock Spirit" alive in the town of Bethel, Sullivan County, NY.

I’m a freelance photojournalist for THE RIVER REPORTER, and for over 10 years I have covered the battle of the Hippies (Flower Children) and the opposition to them and their music... by a town, a county, and so called "MONEY PEOPLE"; the players who had and still have their own personal interests in this site. Therefore all photos in this essay pertain to events which have occurred in the town of Bethel.

Due to the stupidity and mismanagement of both Sullivan County and the town of Bethel's officials, everyone loses.

It took 30 years for the birthplace of the "Woodstock Spirit" to be turned into a garden, and weed out the Hippies or Flower Child Generation.

If all goes according to plan in all probability it will become a "Garden of Stone" for the "Spirit of Woodstock" and those who tried to keep it alive. Maybe one day they will have a reenactment of the event and the ad will read, "30,000 hippies wanted ~ we supply the headbands."

There will be very little text on this site ~ only 2 of the many articles I have written. Names are not important.
